According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nearly 2 million people quit their jobs in April, which is the highest number of resignations in more than a year. It was also reported that 1.75 million people were laid off in April, the fewest since January 2007. This is good news for the economy as many theorists believe that resignations outnumber layoffs in a healthy economy.

This could be attributed to many people taking jobs they are over qualified for during the recession, and now that the economy is showing a bit more vitality, they can move on to better opportunities. It can also be that workers are fed up being overwhelmed and overworked due to layoffs that decreased staff and increased their workloads. Whatever the reason it’s good to see the economy is showing signs of health once again. If you are unhappy with your current job and are thinking of quitting but don’t want to lose your benefits, you can always look into a discount health plan from Q Health.
